Join us for an immersive learning experience in Net Zero Energy Renovations, specifically designed to integrate the latest advancements in technology and innovations in the Canadian housing industry.

This course provides a comprehensive overview of the new CHBA Net Zero Labelling Program for Renovations. Participants will gain insights into Net Zero/Ready renovation principles, equipment options, emerging technologies, and construction practices aimed at bridging the performance gap between existing homes and new net zero homes. Enhance your skills to ensure customer comfort and satisfaction while staying ahead in the sustainable renovation market.

Please note this is a 2-part certification course, and will be delivered online over 2x afternoons – October 31 and November 1 from 1:00pm EST – 4:40pm EST each day. Attendance and participation in both parts is a requirement of the certification course in order to take the post-course exam.

  • Historical Insights: Know the history of energy retrofit incentives and understand potential unintended consequences.
  • Decade-Specific Construction: Discover how construction practices from different decades impact Net Zero Renovations.
  • Budget Adaptation: Learn how to adjust renovation plans to fit various budgets and stages.

  • Renovation vs. New Build: Describe the differences between a renovated Net Zero home and one built to meet the CHBA Net Zero Home Labelling Program requirements.

EnerQuality workshop completion certificates can be submitted for Continuing Education credits for the following organizations:

  • Ontario Association of Architects
  • Ontario Building Officials Association
  • Professional Engineers Ontario
  • Association of Energy Engineers

Continuing Education Credits Letter: Students not seeking the certification, and rather requesting a letter for continuing education credits, the letter will be provided to you following the course wrap up, and after EnerQuality’s Training team confirms your hours of attendance in the online course.

PREREQUISITES:

Before registering for the CHBA Net Zero Renovator course, students must have completed the Advanced Building Science, and CHBA Net Zero Builder certification courses.

An exam at the end of the course is designed to confirm that participants have learned the key Net Zero Renovation material. A passing grade is 75%.

CANCELLATION POLICY:

EnerQuality endeavours to be as flexible as possible with our cancellation policy. In the event you are unable to personally attend a workshop, you may, with prior notice, substitute another representative from your company. A refund (less $50 administration fee) will be issued for cancellations made up to 14 days in advance of the workshop. Contractual obligations and agreements with third parties may require for the policy to be amended or revised from time to time. EnerQuality reserves the right to reschedule, relocate, or cancel events. Should this be required, we will provide prior notice to all registrants.
